The Health and Wellness Program values healing and is created to encourage community members to participate in their own wellness. We are dedicated to deliver respectful guidance that meets all member with where that are at in their own journeys.

Our program is working on implementing land-based teachings, community gatherings, learning from elders and knowledge keepers. We thrive on strengthening partnerships with individuals, communities, and organizations.

Shelby La Rose is Nehiyah Iskwe from the Treaty 6 Territory, Shelby recently relocated to the community with her partner and two children.

“My goals as the Wellness Coordinator are to implement programming that has meaning, where all community members are engaged and respected”.

Shelby has a background in Indigenous Social Work, she has a passion for advocacy and aspires to inspire others.
